Vozgin Fm
Type Locality and Naming
It is identified in its western part by N. G. Vlasov (1961).

Reference section:
Lithology and Thickness
South-West of the Hingou River valley, the Vozhin Fm is represented by gray small-gravel conglomerates, sandstones, and limestones, the quantitative ratios between which are variable. The thickness of the suite is 200 - 500 m.
In the eastern part of the Darvaz district, in the valley of the Muksu River, a thickness is attributed to the Vozhinskaya suite, composed in the lower part (200 m) of a varied package of limestones, sandstones, slates, conglomerates, and in the upper part - tuffaceous sandstones (200 m).
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It is locally distributed - in the depressions of the ancient relief, where it lies with a sharp angular discordance on the greenstone sedimentary-effusive rocks of the Tournaisian - Serpukhovian stages (Kalaikhumb Fm - Dzhakska Fm) and contains in conglomerates the rounded pebbles of these rocks. Here in the eastern part of the Darvaz district, these rocks also lie sharply discordant on the volcanics of the Lower Carboniferous.
Upper contact
It is overlain with erosion and without apparent angular discordance by the Upper Moscovian - Upper Carboniferous limestones, which beyond the depressions of the ancient relief lie directly on the greenstone Lower Carboniferous.
Regional extent
Spread in the Darvaz district.
